The town of Hood River, in the shadow of Mt. Hood, swells in the summer with windsurfers, kiteboarders, bikers, road-trippers and adventurers of all sorts. We opened our second store here in 2001, just a skip across the Columbia Gorge river from Bingen, WA. Tucked downtown, this is our tiniest shop, with lots of take-home goodies for those passing through and unusual home décor for the locals. Love Jewelry? Here you will find Nepalese gemstone rings, Sterling silver earring and rings, Hindu belly dancer belts, costume jewelry, contemporary and tribal jewelry, vintage compacts and more unique accessories. This little jewel box of a shop is draped with vintage Indian silks, wool saddle blankets, antique knives, and other international curiosities. Hand-carved children’s toys and puzzles spill out of Chinese baskets. Balinese mahogany carvings and Malian beadwork share wall space with shelves of marble and cameo glass vases, Chinese lanterns and cast iron finials. Of course there are always a few of our finest antique cabinets waiting here to find their next home. |
